How to convert markers from Adobe Premiere Pro into Avid Pro Tools markers?

1. Export a Final Cut 7 XML marker file from Adobe Premiere Pro

Open the sequence in Premiere Pro and go to File > Export > "Final Cut Pro XML".

2. Use the "Marker Converter" to convert the Final Cut 7 XML marker file into a ptx marker file

Open the free Marker Converter, select "Adobe Premiere Pro > Sequence (.xml)" and set "convert" to "Pro Tools > PTX File (.ptx)". Generate and download the file. If you have problems converting the file, you can contact the free support.

3. Import the ptx marker file into Avid Pro Tools

To import markers go to "File -> Import -> Session Data". Select the ptx file and make sure to check the "Ruler Markers" box in the Session Data panel before pressing OK. Your markers should now be imported into our ProTools Session.
